Buy ticketsThe museum's origins lie in the portrait of Stephen the Great painted in 1884 by Epaminonda Bucevschi for Bishop Melchisedec Ștefănescu.
Since 1970 it has occupied the Roiu House, a late-19th-century Neoclassical listed building. Its collections include over 1,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures and decorative art works, partly shown in six rooms (243 m²). The exhibition features artists connected with Roman and the Ciurdea-Steurer family and architect Marcel Locar donations.
