Bicaz Gorge (Cheile Bicazului–Hășmaș National Park)
The Bicaz Gorge was carved by the Bicaz river into Jurassic limestone in the central Hășmaș Mountains, across Neamț and Harghita counties, within the strictly protected zone of Cheile Bicazului–Hășmaș National Park.
Limestone walls rise over 300 m, and road DN12C winds between them through spots such as 'Hell's Throat'. The park offers 18 marked trails and guided hiking programmes. Entry tickets can also be bought online.
