Alexandru Vlahuță Memorial House, Agapia

The house in Agapia's monastic village where writer Alexandru Vlahuță (1858–1919) lived was turned into a memorial museum for the centenary of his birth.
Its rooms recreate the period atmosphere with original furniture, books from his library, personal belongings, periodicals, letters and manuscripts. The spacious porch hosted literary gatherings. The permanent exhibition was modernised and reopened on 19 July 2012; the building is a listed monument (NT-II-m-B-10628).
