St John the Baptist Princely Church, Piatra Neamț
The princely church was built by Stephen the Great in 1497–1498, according to its inscription, and belongs to the Princely Court ensemble together with the 1499 bell tower.
It is a rectangular, towerless church comparable to those at Războieni (1496) and Borzești (1493–1494). Its present appearance dates from the 1937–1938 restoration led by the Historical Monuments Commission under Nicolae Iorga. The Gospel book donated by Stephen on 24 June 1502 is now kept at the National History Museum of Romania.
